Okay, in practice my year works on the “concert season” year which starts in the fall, so I’m really partway through 15/16, but it’s December 31 and the end of a calendar year, so I thought I’d give a look back on events of the past twelve months, with a lot of pictures and not a lot of words, because a picture is worth… well, you know. It’s been a busy and productive year (7 world premieres and 2 European premieres) that brought interactions and collaborations with a host of wonderful artists in several disciplines, and experiences that expanded my own creativity.
I don’t have photos of everything. Some performances happened without my being there (which is a checkmark of sorts on one’s career trajectory). Other things, I was so engrossed in what I and everyone around me were doing that I didn’t think to take a picture. And a few pictures I lost because my iPhone got picked out of my pocket a few weeks after I had last uploaded photos to my desktop. So this is just a taste of what kept me hopping in 2015:

A big, heartfelt thanks to all the amazing collaborators, musicians, dancers, students, painters, and audiences that made the past twelve months so memorable. I love my job!
